Curious George Finds a Family

Curious George, the formerly emaciated American Bulldog-Pit Bull mix, has found a new home.

MEDIA–Curious George, the , has found a new home.

The received 15 applicatons for . They held meet-and-greets with George and the potential families and a panel of five people closely invested in his care helped to find him the perfect home.

Curiouse George, who arrived at the SPCA on Oct. 31 weighing just 35 pounds, has grown into a near-70 pound handsome and strong fellow.

He is roughly 18 months old and it is important to the Delaware County SPCA that George be given all of the proper tools he needs to be an ambassador for the Pit Bull breed and a great representative of the SPCA.

The SPCA is using some of the funds received for Curious George’s care and sending him to Perfect Pooch, a boarding and training facility in King of Prussia, for 10 days of boarding and training.

On his 10th day, Dec. 13, George’s new parents will pick him up and receive their first training lesson with him, which will then be ongoing until he is an all-around well-behaved boy.

Curious George’s new family has signed the paperwork to make it official at the Adoption Center but they will take him in to their care on Dec. 13.

George's former owner, has turned himself into authorities and was cited with two violations of animal cruelty.
