Darby-Paoli Bridge Back in Business

Commuters traveling from Newtown Square will be glad to know the Darby-Paoli Bridge in Radnor has reopened.

RADNOR–PennDOT crews working on the Darby-Paoli bridge Friday morning said it would be open to the public later that day.

The bridge is located between Newtown and Brooke roads. Access to the Willows will be allowed from the west near Darby-Paoli and Newtown roads.

On Saturday, Feb. 11 at, around 11 a.m. Radnor Police responded to an overturned vehicle on the bridge at Darby-Paoli Road in front of the Willows.

As a result of the crash, the south retaining wall of the bridge suffered damage with a partial collapse into the creek.

Commuters were detoured to Goshen, Route 252/Newtown Street and St. David’s roads.
