Local Residents, MNHS Interact Club Race for the Cure

About 17 people from Broomall and Newtown Square took part in Susan Komen's Breast Cancer 5K event on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway May 8.

PHILADELPHIA–The 21st annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure took place Sunday, May 8, in Philadelphia.

Nearly 40,000 registered participants came out to run, walk and fundraise for the fight against breast cancer, according to the organization.

's Interact Club also joined in on the event and have been participating for over 10 years now.
