Missed Connections: Where are the Hot Spots?

Have you gone to a Wawa or convenience store and spotted someone who could be the love of your life? Apparently, in Pennsylvania, this happens more often than you may think.

In the Keystone state, convenience stores are the No. 1 place for a "missed connection," according to a new map created by Psychology Today. The term "missed connection" is when two people cross paths, with a spark of some sort but without any exchange of contact information.

The concept soon became popular after Craigslist created a "Missed Connections" page on their site, specific to major cities. 

One of the country's most common sites for missed connections was—believe it or not—Walmart. The chain store was popular across many states, including Texas, New Mexico, Missouri, Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, Idaho, Montana, South Dakota, Ohio, West Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina and Florida.
