Pretrial Conference Set for Newtown Square Sex Tape Case

A pretrial conference has been scheduled for Christopher Thomas Scott, of Newtown Square, on Tuesday, Jan .17.

MEDIA–A pretrial conference has been scheduled for Tuesday morning at 8:30 a.m. before Delaware County Court of Common Pleas Judge James F. Nilon Jr. in regards to the online .

Christopher Thomas Scott, 20, of Newtown Square, was arrested and charged on Nov. 14 for six misdemeanor counts, including selling, designing and producing obscene materials under the obscene and other sexual materials and performance section of the Pennsylvania Crime Code, as well as harassment, possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Scott, upset over a break-up with an ex-girlfriend, had posted the sex tape on the Internet without her knowledge two years ago, in which the girlfriend was fired from a previous employer after the tape was discovered online.

Scott's case was originally seen by Judge Leon Hunter III in District Court and . Scott's bail was set for $25,000 with an option to post 10 percent of his bail in cash on Nov. 14.

The pretrial conference is scheduled in preparation for the actual trial that will occur soon after. Scott will be represented by his attorney Mark Phillip Much in the trial. The Delaware County District Attorney's Office is currently handling the case.
