Roads Remain Wet From Flurries; Winter Weather Advisory in Effect Through Wednesday Night

The flurries from Wednesday afternoon haven't affected the evening commute too seriously but a winter weather advisory remains in effect until 10 p.m.

Though the in the Marple Newtown Patch area, the roads remained clear from any pile-up and appeared to be wet and slightly slippery.

The major roads–including West Chester Pike/Route 3, Newtown Street Road/Route 252, and Sproul Road–were clear from any signs of snow while the side roads also appeared to be clear of any snow.

The long and windy side roads, such as Bishop Hollow Road in Newtown Square and Cedar Grove and Paxon Holow roads in Broomall needed to be driven with caution around the bends.

No reports of any major traffic delays or congestion were reported.

The National Weather Service (NWS) announced a winter weather advisory will remain in effect through Wednesday night. According to the NWS, the last of the snow will fall before midnight. A total nighttime snowfall accumulation of less than 1 inch of snow is possible, predicts the NWS.

The NWS forecasts temperatures to drop to around 27 degrees on Wednesday night. Thursday's forecast is reported to be sunny with a high of about 46 degrees.
