Trash Collection for Christmas
Some Marple Newtown Patch municipalities will see a trash collection change during the Christmas holiday.
Newtown Township's municipal building will be closed for the Christmas holiday on both Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 24 and 25, while Marple Township's municipal building will be closed on Dec. 25th only.
Below is a trash and recyclable pick-up schedule for area municipalities over the Christmas holiday:
Marple Township—Residents on a Tuesday and Friday trash collection schedule will only have trash collected on Friday this week. Residents on a Monday and Thursday schedule will not be affected by the Christmas holiday. Recycling will not be affected as collection is on Wednesdays.

Newtown Township–Municipal trash removal is not provided by the township. Please check with your private collector. Recycling will not be affected as collection is on Thursdays.
