What's Closed On Labor Day In Marple Newtown

In salute to the workers of America, several local offices, banks and libraries will be closed for Labor Day on Monday.

Check out the list below to see what's closed on this Labor Day.

• Government offices–Both the and township municipal buildings will be closed as well as the county offices. 
• Banks–Many banks in the area will be closed for the day. 
• Schools– is the only school in the area that has already opened its doors to students and will all be closed on Monday.
• Trash/Recylcing pick-up–Newtown residents should call their specific trash/recycling provider for their holiday pick-up schedule; Marple's trash schedule that occurs on a Monday/Thursday schedule will only have one trash pick-up this week on Thursday.
• Post offices–All post offices will be closed in observance of the holiday.
• Transportation–SEPTA will operate on a Sunday schedule.
