An Evening of Poetry with Joel Perlish

The Friends of the Marple Library in Broomall will host guest speaker and educator Joel Perlish on Monday October 29 at 7:00 pm. Mr. Perlish will bring his dramatic skills to many of the beloved classic poems we cherish and to poems that capture the popular imagination. Included in this presentation will be a recital of poetry from the British Romantic period including Blake and Shelley to the Gothic genre of Poe and to the poetry of Whitman that shares the American experience. This recital will present a broad sampling of poetry in an engaging, energetic, dramatic and sometimes humorous interpretation. This program is free and open to the public. Following the presentation refreshments will be served. Reservations are requested but not required at 610-356-1510. Marple Library, 2599 Sproul Road, Broomall.
