St. Anastasia Ladies Night Out

One-stop shopping is a welcome thing for most, which is the idea behind the St. Anastasia Ladies Night Out.

The public is invited to the St. Anastasia Home and School fundraiser on Friday November 2 from 7 to 10 p.m. in the Parrish Hall of St. Anastasia Church. There is no charge for the event. For refreshments, guests can purchase beer and wine and enjoy complimentary light snacks.

"We're hoping this turns into an annual event, one that will help to bring people in our community together to socialize while they support our local merchants and home based businesses," said Colleen Cappello of Newtown Square, who is co-chairing the event with Krissy Lange of Broomall.

"We have a nice variety of more than 20 vendors. For those who find it hard to find a Silpada or Avon representative in their area, they can just come here and go right to that table," Cappello said. Other vendors include local merchants, the Newtown Square Historical Society, and home-based businesses. "And while some of the ladies may come to get a jump on their Christmas shopping, they can also make money by selling unwanted gold or silver jewelry to Cozzi Jewelers, who will be on hand."

In addition to the refreshments and opportunity to get a jump on Christmas shopping, a raffle will occur every 15 - 30 minutes.  The winner will choose a gift of their choice from a table of donated items from each vendor.
