The volunteers sort, pack and store the books at Storage King until the Public works Department moves them to the Community Room January. There the books are arranged on tables in approximately 32 categories with signs to let the shoppers know what is where. The fiction is separated into hardback and paperback and both are in alphabetical order by author. Hardback books are still $1.00 and paperbacks are $.50. Coffee table books range for $1.00 to $10.00.
The proceeds from the sale go to providing the library with items that are not in its budget to make the library better able to serve you, The Community.
You can make space on your book shelves by weeding and donating books. And at the sale you have a good chance of finding that book you missed when it was a best seller or the classic you always meant to read. You can stock up on children’s books for your children or grandchildren as gifts or when they come to visit. This book sale is a win-win situation for you as well as the library.
