Learn Video Production

https://filmtechschool.com/weekend.html
This

intensive hands-on video production program is perfect for those in

school or who work during the week. Held over 8 Saturdays or Sundays,

the program gives you practical instruction in all aspects of video

production - screenwriting, directing, producing, camera operation,

sound gathering, lighting and editing. Within eight sessions, you write a

short script and work together with other students to produce, shoot

and edit a complete digital video project.

SCREENWRITING

The

foundation of any film or video project is the screenplay. You'll learn

the structure of a screenplay as you write your own short original

script. The screenwriting module takes you through the steps necessary

to bring your creative vision to the elements of story, plot, character,

dialogue and scene structure.

CAMERA OPERATION

Using

a digital video camera, you'll learn its functions, practice camera

movement and conduct scene set-ups. You'll also learn how to use

lighting and sound to bring your vision to the screen. The class chooses

one script and works together to produce it into a video project.

DIRECTING

the

director is responsible for calling the shots on the set and making all

creative decisions involved with the production. You'll learn how to

break down a script, develop a shot list, block and cover scenes. The

program gives you practice in lighting scenes, setting up shots and

designing camera movements, directing actors and making editorial

decisions - all part of the directing process. Students use Mac

computers and Final Cut Pro software to learn the fundamentals of

editing as they complete the project.

PRODUCING

A

well-organized and efficient production is crucial to maintaining a

smooth-running set and delivering a product on time and on budget.

You'll learn how to break down a short script, budget and schedule the

shoot; learn about different crew positions and how to work with a crew,

and work on a set as you shoot your project.
