Mitt Romney: The Better Alternative

Mitt Romney is not my first choice for the next president of the United States but as a conservative Republican, Romney is the only choice because in the past four years, Mr. Obama has proven time and again that he is the ultra liberal he was perceived to be.

Through his policies of socialization and his intention to distribute the wealth of America instead of creating new wealth through innovation, motivation, hard work and other incentives, Obama has turned this great country from being the bread-basket of the world to a debtor nation. 

If fact, through his continual rhetoric of wanting to raise the taxes of working Americans and businesses making over $250,000, Obama has divided this country in a way never seen in this country before.

President Obama makes even Lyndon Johnson's Great Society of the 1960s a liberal undertaking and we all know what the Great Society did for this country in the last 50 years. Originally enacted to help the disadvanteges, today the Great Society has become an albatross of welfare not only for those in need but also for the millions of americans who are and still remain on the welfare rolls in this country.

Today, the great welfare state grossly enlarged by Obama has placed this country on the road to bankruptcy because this administration, the most liberal in decades has managed to spend more money that it takes in. Such is the case when Obama threatens American workers and businesses to pay more taxes to pay for those who do not work.

Government should help the truly needy members of our society. Government should not be an impediment for those people who want to have a better life.  Providing the american people a crutch in the way of a monthly paycheck, free housing and other public assistance is not freedom as it was intended by our founding fathers.  It is in reality a form of bondage, it is in the best of terms, glorified slavery by a party that enslaves instead of freeing individuals to be the best they can be. 

It is the most undemocratic system that was ever invented by men and disguised as a democracy. Free men and women when given a choice will choose a better life for themselves; that is why people from every parts of world want to come to this country. Today, due to this large dependency on the government people throughout this country are born in a welfare system and die in the same environment that they were born in.

Now, tell me that that is not slavery of the highest form. It is one thing to be born in bondage, it is another to live and die there.

Americans throughout the centuries have risen from the rolls of poverty to become productive members of society. Why, Obama himself is a great example of such an accomplishment. Why he does not want the same for others is beyond anyone's comprehension. Socialism has not worked in the past and will not work in the future especially in the United States of America.

Collectivism, the sharing or the distribution of wealth will bring this country to the depths of despair.  It was the American spirit of entrepreneurship and free-enterprise that made this country great. Kill that spirit by taxing those that keep this country afloat and you will destroy this country.
