Obama: The Most Anemic President in Recent Memory

Obama's failed economic policies like Obamacare has failed the American people.

I really liked Obama and was happy to see him win in 2008 because I really believed that he, more than anyone else, would understand the plight of the average American worker that under previous democratic and republican administrations was left behind by a status quo mentality of the elite of this country who continue to ignore the middle class.

Unfortunately, since Obama took office more than three years ago, all that we have seen is a complete turnaround of everything he said he was going to do as president when he vowed to be the president of the people.

President Obama has been the complete liberal he was purported to be before the 2008 presidential elections instead of being the middle-of-the-road president he campaigned for and won.

Obama's umbrella-type social agenda for this country of the past three plus years makes even Lyndon Johnson’s “Great Society” and Franklin Roosevelt’s vast government expansion of the 1930s, minor undertakings. Obama has literally given away America and must not be reelected in 2012 because he has been a president of failure, an anemic president unworthy of the office he holds.

Obama has failed the American people where it counts the most: their pockets. After more than three years as president, our economy is still reeling and is in disarray, unemployment is still hovering above 8 percent, budget deficits keep rising exponentially, heathcare costs continue to rise, jobs are still leaving this country, taxes are choking most Americans and all that Obama wants to do is to raise taxes on small businesses and corporations–the same entities that through their initiative and motivation factor create the wealth of this country.

What is going on? Why are the American people buying this nonsense by a president who speak well without delivering anything. His economic programs have been a failure, his policies destructive and his promises empty. Obamacare that was supposed to bring down health care costs has actually accomplished the reverse.

In its present form, Obamacare is a failed program and if it is left intact, will derail this country’s economy to the depths of despair for many years to come. Yes, another four years of an Obama’s presidency will create a worldwide economic depression unseen since the great depression of the 1930s.

It is to say the least, a scary thought for a country that for decades provided the American people the highest standard of living among all the industrialized nations of the world. Today for the first time in nation’s history, future generations of Americans will not have a better tomorrow like many of us who always looked to the future for a better life and a prosperous tomorrow.

Today’s children will not be as lucky as we were when we always knew that tomorrow would bring a brighter day. This is not what America should settle for.  This is not what I settled for when I came to this country so many years ago.

Back then, I knew and expected that with hard work, I would achieve my American dream and be able to have a “tiny piece of that American pie.” Today, the same cannot be said for my children and grandchildren.

It is a sad, sad commentary for the United States of America, the country my father used to call, the land of honey and opportunity for all.

I concur with you Obama has been a failure, but I don't think he or Obamacare will create a worldwide depression- there's plenty of other things that could do that. But Romney greasing the skids to export jobs overseas for the sake of a quarterly Bain Capital profit is despicable. He's not the answer. I agree with you that a 3rd party is preferable.

I'd agree that I voted for Obama originally, and can't say I'd do it again. The spending and debt is out of control, and once again, we need a change.

Obamacare a failure? How can one possibly say that when it's policies haven't even been implemented yet? And what other options would you put out there to replace it? The current system is broken for most of America...we HAD to change. As for spending and deficit - I forgot what a great job Bush did setting Obama up for success - wars, deficit spending, tax cuts for the wealthy...I'd say Obama did a decent job considering the mess he was left. Things are (slowly to be sure) headed in the right direction...but they are heading up. A return to Bush via Romney is a recipe for disaster...unless, of course, you are one of the few wealthy people out there...

I totally agree with you and feel your article hit the nail right on the head. I did not vote for Obama and I am proud to say so! He is steering our great country into a whirlwind of Socialism, which is far from what this country needs or stands for! I can not even comprehend how people don't see this happening before their eyes. His lack of economic knowledge and inexperience as a leader are all showing now. He has never worked a real job, no one knows his true background nor can you get a straight answer regarding it, and his only political experience service was as Senator for a couple of years! I can only hope that the people vote wisely this time around...

Socialism...you keep using that word...I don't think you know what it means. Things that are socialist: Fire departments. Public schools. Highways. Police departments. Student loans. Libraries. Parks. Social Security. Unions. Unemployment benefits. Safe food and drugs. State Universities. Clean water. It's a long, long list...

You forgot Obamacare! The biggest one of all. Certain aspects that help control the generic safety of the people are acceptable, and Obama has crossed that line. It appears his plan is to tax us out of existance. I guess it's Bush's fault though. Who will you blame 4 years later when this country is in an even bigger mess?

Can we discuss facts and not extraordinary extrapolations and generalized lies. Obama inherited a damaged economy, thanks to the rampant lack of regulation from the Bush era. Obama has only had 2 real working years. At the midterm elections the teapartiers showed up and started filibustering everything in sight. All that bail out money that he "blew". How's the auto. industry these days (which most have already paid their bailouts back)? The outsourcing of American jobs? He's proposed (shot down by Republicans) eliminating various tax cuts on outsourcing and creating incentives to those keeping jobs here. He's also proposed eliminating caps on taxing the 1%'ers (e.g. Romney and his 13% tax rate); thus strengthening the social security system. The economy is in much better shape with the stock market way up in his first term after the worst of the recession (thanks to Bush) was over. Unemployment is down 2+ points. Millions of new jobs have been created since the stimulus (800,000 this year alone). Did he achieve full employment? No, but I'd challenge anyone to do so with what he inherited; stagnant congress and all. Obama has followed through on his promise to reduce the US's presence in Iraq and Afghanistan. Everyone complains government is run like a business these days, can you imagine if we gave Romney the reins? Hack and slash (e.g. Bain Capital, etc.). All that said, it'd be nice if the US had a legitimate shot at more than 2 choices for President.

The stimulus did not help private sector jobs, only government jobs. Household incomes have dropped consistently over the last 3 years and unemployement has risen since he's been in office. People that have actually kept their jobs aren't getting raises. You can talk to anyone, and they will tell you they did not receive an increase "because of the economy", yet the cost of living, including gas prices, continue to increase every year. Obama has created nothing, except big government. He pushes the idea that the government will take care of you. He has put a positive spin on not working and getting paid for it. Honestly, I don't know what the answer is to fix all of the problems this country is currently enduring, but it's not him.
