House Hunt: Custom Million Dollar Homes

This weekend there aren't many open houses in the area due to the holiday, so we branched out to local neighborhoods to see what was open outside of our immediate Patch area.

There are seventeen open houses scheduled for the weekend of September 1-2 in Media, Havertown, Springfield and Marple-Newtown, according to the listings on AOL Real Estate.

In Newtown Square we continue to find the new community of custom homes behind Episcopal Academy dominating the open house circuit.  There are five homes or lots open this weekend for open houses, they all boast a minimum of five bathrooms.  2 Bridle Lane which has seven bathrooms, is listed for $1,695,000.

If you are a homebuyer on a budget, 236 S Parkway Avenue in Broomall is a great find.  Four bedrooms, four baths and new updates and features throughout the house, this home is listed for $419,000.

In the Rose Tree-Media School District there are two open houses in the beautiful Brick House Farm Lane development.  These homes boast four bedrooms, five baths and are listed at just over $1 million.

In Springfield Township there are seven open houses on Hillcrest Road in Coventry Woods this weekend.  Most of these new homes feature four bedrooms, five baths and are priced between $560K and $675K.

In Havertown there are two open houses.  11 Springhouse Lane is a new home, with four bedrooms, three baths and is listed at $579,000. 8 Westwood Park Drive is a three bedroom colonial with new updates throughout the home and is a short walk from the golf course.  The home is listed at $244,900.

For complete information on all of the area's open houses, check the listings on AOL Real Estate.
