Couponing Your Way to Free

How would you like to leave the store with a bag full of goodies and not pay anything? This is a get started challenge for new couponers to score their first freebies.

Can you really get things free with coupons? The answer is a definite, yes! Each week your local drugstores will give you the opportunity to get a few free or almost free items. You do not have to go crazy and get five or even 20 free items with your coupons.

You can start small and work your way up to a big shopping trip. Here is a very simple coupon challenge for all of you that are new to couponing. If you remembered to pick up at least one Sunday paper, you can get two items free from Rite Aid this week.

If you forgot, ask a neighbor or family member that gets the paper if they would give you these two coupons. Tylenol Precise heat patch or cream $5 coupon; use $5/1 in the May 8 Smart Source coupon insert. Final Price: FREE. Carefree Liners $1 coupon; use $1 in the May 8 Smart Source coupon insert. Final Price: FREE.

It really is that easy. You can walk out of the store with two items totally free.  The key, once again, is no impulse shopping if you want to walk out with a zero balance. This is just a sample of what you can do when you match-up coupons with current sale items. It really is an amazing feeling to walk out of a store and pay absolutely nothing.

If you will not use these products, donate them or start your gift stockpile. A gift stockpile is an affordable way to create gift baskets for your teachers, friends and family. You can create gift baskets for so many occasions. An example would be a going away gift basket for your son with all of the free items that you can get at the drug store.

You can fill it with body wash, razors, deodorant, Tylenol patch, shampoo & conditioner, shaving cream, gum, candy and any other freebies that you get your hands on in the next few months. You can give him a gift that he will actually use that did not cost you any money. The fantastic thing about coupons is that they put you in control of your spending. Take that challenge and choose to get organized, save money, and change your life one coupon at a time.
