There are companies popping up on the Internet that offer fantastic group deals for local stores, hair salons, dentists and just about everything. The most common are Living Social and Groupon.

These companies negotiate deals with businesses to bring you huge discounts.  These discounts usually have some fine print like you may only use one per person per visit.  You can also earn money if you choose to share the deals that you purchase. If a friend buys one of the deals that you suggest threw your exclusive link, the company will reward you with credits up to $10 to use at a later date.

You can score some major discounts on luxury items like spa treatments, restaurants, concerts, and sporting events. You can get deals to popular places like the Moshulu and the 76ers on Groupon. These would make fantastic gifts for birthdays or graduations.

The deals vary in the length that they are offered to the public. Some companies offer deals for one day and others up to a week. You can check the sites on a daily bases or provide your email address and they will be sent to you directly.

I bought an incredible deal for my husband for Father's Day from Living Social. This deal was for a new business in Newtown Square called . I purchased five indoor rowing classes for $35 or 65 percent off the standard rate. This was a great deal and a fantastic way to promote the new business.  

These companies offer really incredible discounts and unique deals for the entire family. You must remember to read the fine print on every deal that is offered. Last week I was so excited to see a deal on Living Social for Bounce U. They had bounce sessions for 50 percent off or $9 for two passes. If you have ever been to a Bounce U, you know they are clean and so family friendly.

In my excitement, I proceeded to buy my passes and was offered a $5 credit, if I watched a commercial. I watched my commercial, received my credit, and bought another Bounce U deal for what I thought was $4. Each time I went to check out, they offered me the $5 credit, if I watched the commercial. I watched that commercial each time it was offered thinking they were giving me the $5 credit that the charge screen reflected.

Apparently, I was wrong and my credit card was charged full price for every single transaction. I have emailed and waited on hold to no avail. This may be a simple case of technical error but I am glad that I was notified by my credit card company for duplicated transactions. I am sure the issue will be rectified but it would have been a bit of a shock to receive that credit card statement.

You can find astonishing deals for cities all over the U.S. The deals that you purchase are available as soon as the clock on purchasing the deal ends. You can log into your account and print out a voucher to be used or given as a gift.
