1937 Marple Newtown Graduate Dies, and Other Obituaries

Laura Violet Weldie Warfel, who grew up in Broomall, died at 96. She was the oldest of six sisters and a 1937 graduate of Marple Newtown High School.

Mildred (Mittie) Pearson, of Avalon, NJ and Newtown Square, died at 89. 

Sarah Kathleen "Kay" (Moore) Atkinson, of Newtown Square, died on Jan. 20. She had three children, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Joan Jane Wotring Johnson Daliessio, of Upper Chichester, died at 77. She was employed by the Media District Court, where she served as court clerk for several years before retiring.

Leona Mae Callahan, most recently of Media, died at 72.
