Joseph Thomas Mullray, 81, of Newtown Square
Joe was raised in Newtown Square, a graduate of Malvern Preparatory High School in 1949 and an avid swimmer. For many years, he was a lifeguard for the Avalon Beach Patrol. He was the youngest swimmer to win the Annual Atlantic City Pageant Ocean Swim, the nation's oldest continuous open water swimming race dating back to 1936. Joe and his wife, Marion Kirk Mullray were members of Aronimink Country Club and the Avalon Yacht Club. In 1988, the couple retired in Avalon. [Legacy.com/Press of Atlantic City]
Anna DiGiorgio Romel, 83, of Newtown Square
Anna moved to Newtown Square last year. She was employed by the Prudential Insurance Co., Iselin. Anna was a devoted wife of 54 years and loving mother. She was passionate about her family and friends and would see and cherish the beauty in the simple things in life. [Legacy.com/Home News Tribune]
