LUV-N-BUNNS RABBIT RESCUE HOLIDAY PARTY

Where/When: hall from 5 to 9 p.m. on Saturday.
Why Go: Support local animal rescue by taking in a fun family event that starts with a fantastic spaghetti dinner and ends with music, dancing, face painting and photos with Santa. Plus, don't miss Santa's craft shop where the kids can make and decorate gifts, do spin art and much more. The event also includes a public and silent auction with generous gift baskets.

THE TWILIGHT SAGA EXPERIENCE

Where/When: at 9:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Why Go: Get all your friends together and celebrate the midnight release of "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn–Part 1" by dressing up in your most fun wedding outfits for back-to-back screenings of "Eclipse" and "Breaking Dawn." That's right, break out the wedding veils, tuxes, ties and that bridesmaids dress you never thought you'd see again and get ready for special on-site experiences to make this a one-of-a-kind event.
Pricing: $20 for both movies.

Where/When: at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and also at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Why Go: Banish those "Bah, humbugs!" and get into the Christmas spirit as the high school drama department presents Charles Dickens' classic A Christmas Carol.
Pricing: $5 to $12 depending on seating section and performance time.


JAZZ BY NIGHT CELEBRATION

Where/When: State Street in Media from 7:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Saturday.
Why Go: Get your fix of genuine jazz, from traditional and classic to bebop and hard swing, and from avant-garde to nuJazz. Fifteen indoor restaurant venues in downtown Media present acts including the Bootsie Barnes Quartet, Alfie Moss and Steve Green and the Elevators. Also, enjoy free parking at all metered spaces. The event happens rain or shine so make your reservation now at your favorite Media restaurant.
Pricing: $10 in advance, $15 on the day of the event; ticket gains admission to all stages.


Where/When: in Media from 8 p.m. to midnight on Saturday.
Why Go: Join dance school Salsa in the Suburbs for a fun, tropical night out in Media. Even though the weather is getting chilly, they'll keep your nights hot, hot, hot with beginner and intermediate salsa lessons, a sexy Bachata performance and then open Latin dancing from 9:15 to midnight. No partner or dance experience is necessary. Enjoy a cash bar, free parking and 10 percent off your pre-party dinner bill if your name is on the pre-sales list.
Pricing: $12 in advance, $15 at the door.


"THANKS & GIVING" WITH ALLISON DESALVO AND FRIENDS

Where/When: The Creative Living Room in Swarthmore at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Why Go: Celebrate the season with a musical journey to delight the imagination filled with train rides, pumpkin pie, fall colors, American Indian stories, dancing turkeys and more to warm the heart in the spirit of “thanks and giving.” Accompanied by guitarist Charlie Phillips and percussionist Bill Marconi, Allison sings traditional, international and original songs using  instruments, puppets, make-believe and art in this joyfully interactive  program. Goodies and light refreshments will be served. All proceeds from the event go to the Foundation for Angelman Syndrome Therapeutics, which helps children affected by a debilitating neurological disorder.
Pricing: $6 per person.
