PRC Newtown Square Farmers' Market Opens June 4

On Wednesday, June 4, from 2:00-6:00pm the Pennsylvania

Resources Council (PRC) will open its weekly Newtown Square Farmers’

Market at Mostardi’s Nursery, 4033 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073.

The Farmers’ Market will be open every Wednesday from June 4 to October 29, 2:00-6:00PM.

It will offer local chemical-free fruits and vegetables, sold individually or by the case, Lancaster specialty  relishes, mustards, etc., fresh baked goods, bread, whole wheat pretzels, Italian and artisan cookies, pies, muffins, biscotti, soup, turkey chili, chicken, pork, and lamb sausage, scrapple, pastrami, liverwurst, barbecued chickens, pulled pork and ribs, Mediterranean cuisine, salads, homemade ice cream, cupcakes, Irish Victory cakes, Belgian waffles, chocolate truffles, gourmet popcorn, all natural soaps, hand creams, and of course, beautiful plants, shrubs and trees and much more!

PRC will offer a worm composting class on June 25, sign up at the market and get more information about PRC and the Farmers’ Market at the PRC booth every Wednesday at PRC’s Newtown Square Farmers’ Market! We will also be collecting for recycling: cell phones, ink jet cartridges, electronic games, and more.  Be sure to come and check out the list.

 

The Pennsylvania Resources Council (PRC) is a private non-profit established in 1939.   PRC’s focus is resource conservation with special emphasis on waste reduction, litter prevention, watershed education, recycling, and composting. We are located in Pittsburgh at the CCI Center and in Eastern PA at the Environmental Living Center in Ridley Creek State Park, Edgmont.
