1,104 Newtown Police Calls in March

Newtown Township Police responded to two residential burglaries in March and made arrests in both, police say.

Newtown Township Police responded to 1,104 total calls for service in March, Police Chief Chris Lunn said at the April 22 meeting.

Below is a breakdown of some of those police calls.

  • 2 Simple assaults, domestic related, arrests made in both
  • 2 Residential daytime burglaries, arrests made in both
  • 4 Thefts
  • 2 Criminal mischief
  • 3 DUI arrest, alcohol related
  • 1 Public drunkenness
  • 2 Arrests for violations of Protection from Abuse Orders
  • 1 Service of a Protection from Abuse Order
  • 1 Mental health incident
  • 36 Suspicious persons
  • 12 Domestic disturbance
  • 75 Assists of medical emergencies
  • 30 Motor vehicle crashes investigated
  • 111 Traffic citations issued
  • 262 Property checks
  • 14 Assists of other law enforcement agencies
