1-Car Crash Takes Down 2 Utility Poles, Fire Hydrant

No one was injured in the Thursday morning crash in Marple Township, officials say.

A one-vehicle crash, on the 800 block of Palmers Mill Road at about 10:23 a.m. Thursday, left no on injured, fire officials said.

Crews was dispatched to the Marple Township crash and upon arrival found a vehicle on its side against a broken utility pole, Broomall Fire Co. Public Information Officer Tony Cavarocchi said.

The vehicle took down two utility poles, damaged a third and a fire hydrant was also knocked off it mountings, according to Cavarocchi.

There was no entrapment or injuries in the crash.

Area residents lost power for about two hours following the crash, as well.

Broomall Fire Co. was assisted by Marple Twp. Ambulance Corps., Marple Township Police and Newtown Square Fire Police assisted with traffic around the incident until the road was reopened.
