However, the next day, the staff checked with the bank and determined the $100 was counterfeit, according to the report.

The customer was described as a black man in his mid to late 20s between 5 foot 6 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall and about 160 pounds, according to the report. He was clean shaven and had tribal tattoos on both arms and was wearing an orange plaid shirt, red satin jacket, white shorts and a red ball cap, according to the report.

In a separate incident, on April 27, a man reported to police that he had received a counterfeit $100 from the Acme on the 1900 block of Sproul Road in Broomall, according to the report.

The victim provided police with a three-page hand written statement explaining how he received the counterfeit bill from the Acme after cashing in winning lottery tickets, according to the report.

The store management at Acme did not accept that the man received the bill from that store and refused to exchange it for a genuine bill, according to the report.
