"All cars had their glove compartments and center consoles searched," stated Lunn in his statement.

According to Lunn, two victims had reported either missing purses, store/gift cards, cash, and/or keys. However, portable GPS units were left untouched which Lunn believes was intentional.

"The actor(s) knew what they were doing leaving the GPS units behind because they are easy to trace back to the victim," said Lunn.

All the cars that were entered and ransacked were left unlocked overnight, said Lunn. According to Lunn, other locked vehicles in the area of the reported thefts were entered into.

Police are urging residents to lock their vehicles and to not leave behind any valuables inside the vehicles.
