Blotter: $600 Generator Stolen at Don Guanella School

SPRINGFIELD–On Jan. 17 at approximately 2:25 p.m., Marple police responded to Don Guanella School on South Sproul Road in Springfield for a reported theft of a portable generator.

Police spoke with the director of facilities at the school who informed police that he discovered the generator missing from the rear of the maintenance building shop that morning.

According to the report, the generator was not stored in a building nor was it locked.

The director of facilities informed police, after reviewing video surveillance, a silver or white two-door pickup truck had entered the school property at approximately 4:40 a.m. and drive to the rear of the school property.

According to the report, two men were observed getting out of the truck and were last seen driving out of the school property after approximately 20 minutes on the school property.

The generator is described as a red Generac 3000-4000 watt model, valued at approximately $600.
