Blotter: Burglary On Morton, Little League Shed Damaged, More

BROOMALL–On Dec. 23 at approximately 8:45 p.m., Marple police received information from a man who reported that he received a phone call that day around 4:30 p.m. about juveniles being on the roof of the storage shed at the South Marple Little League fields on North Central Boulevard. The man came to the field at approximately 8:45 p.m. and located the damage on the shed. According to the report, the man discovered a large section of shingles from the roof had been torn off and thrown about the field and lot. According to the report, the missing shingles left the interior open to water damage. 

Cart Used For Transporting Trash Taken From Home 

On Dec. 20 at approximately 5:30 p.m., police received a report from a resident on the 2900 block of Gradyville Road about a theft. According to the report, the homeowner reported that sometime during the day, someone had removed a handmade trash can cart from the front of her home. The woman placed the cart with the cans to the curb for recycle pick-up and discovered the cart missing that night when she went to retrieve it. The cans were accounted for but the metal cart was taken, according to the report.

Missing Items Discovered at Morton Ave. Home

On Dec. 18 at approximately 11:35 a.m., police responded to the 200 block of Morton Avenue for a reported burglary discovered. Upon arrival, police spoke with the complainant who told police she was in the process of cleaning out her uncle’s home when she discovered some items were missing. The woman stated she had last been in the home on Dec. 14. According to the report, someone had pushed in a panel on the rear door and entered the home removing several items from the home. The woman stated that the wood panel was covering a broken window that had occurred when her uncle was still alive, according to the report.

Shed Door Lock Cut, Snowblower Taken

On Dec. 14 at approximately 10:40 a.m., a resident on the 2600 block of Highland Avenue came into the police station to report a theft. According to the report, the man stated that he had a 26-inch Craftsman snowblower in his shed which appeared to have been taken. According to the report, sometime during the last month someone had cut the lock to the doors on his shed and stole the snowblower.
