Blotter: Holiday Decor Vandalized, Graffiti on Football Press Box, More

BROOMALL–On Dec. 12 at approximately 12:10 p.m., Marple police responded to Cardinal O’Hara High School for a reported vandalism incident. According to the report, police made contact with the complainant who stated the Football Press Box had graffiti spraypainted on it. Police observed the words “slutz” and “flat ass’s” spraypainted on the front side of the press box facing the field. An image was also spraypainted on the press box, according to the report.

Christmas Lights Slashed (Again)

On Dec. 10 at approximately 4:45 p.m., police responded to the 200 block of Carlton Drive for a reported vandalism incident. The homeowner showed police a straight cut through a strand of Christmas lights that ran up the side corner of his home. The man told police his was the second time over the past few days that this strand had been cut, according to the report. 

Reindeer Goes Missing

On Dec. 9 at approximately 9:20 p.m., police responded to the 200 block of Sussex Boulevard for a reported theft. The homeowner told police he noticed the lights to his reindeer lawn decorations, located on his front lawn, were out. When the man went to check on them, he realized the lights were actually unplugged and that one of the reindeers was missing. According to the report, he had five reindeers and now he only had four.

Reindeer Go Amiss

On Dec. 9 at approximately 12:15 p.m., police responded to the 600 block of South Central Boulevard for a reported vandalism incident. According to the report, the homeowner told police that three out of her four animated lighted reindeer Christmas decorations were damaged. According to the report, the deer were uprooted from their skates and piled on top of each other by someone. According to the report, the approximate value of the deer is $120 per deer.

Tires Slashed on Lori Lane

On Dec. 9 at approximately 11:50 a.m., police responded to the 100 block of Lori Lane for a reported vandalism incident. Upon arrival, police spoke with the homeowner who told police that sometime overnight, someone had punctured the tires of her vehicle and her daughter’s vehicle. The woman told police she found a clear plastic sheath lying on the ground between the two vehicles. According to the report, one vehicle had the front passenger and driver’s side tires slashed and the other vehicle had the passenger side tire slashed.
