Blotter: Man Urinates By Apartment Building, Gets Tackled By Woman

BROOMALL–On Nov. 14 at approximately 5:54 a.m., Marple police responded to the area of N. Sproul Road around Armenian Delight for a reported assault.

Upon arrival, police located a man who was being held down by a woman. The woman told police the man attempted to break into her apartment, according to the report.

The woman then chased the man to the area of Marple Tractor & Mower Services and tackled him. The man sustained facial injuries, resulting in moderate bleeding from the nose and swelling of the left eye, said police in the report.

According to the report, the woman had just returned home from a night out when she saw the man urinating alongside her building. The man is currently on heart medication, which makes him urinate often, according to the report.

Upon further investigation, police observed what appeared to be urine on the ground and discovered a photo ID, a bagged lunch and house keys on the man. The man told police he was on his way to the bus stop to go to work. No tools or other suspicious instruments that could be used to attempt a crime were found on the man.

When the woman saw the man, she reacted by attempting to subdue him, which caused the man to strike his head on the ground, according to the report.
