Blotter: Trespassing Hunter, Romney/Ryan Signs Stolen, More

The following information has been provided by the Newtown Township Police Department. Any arrests or charges mentioned do not indicate guilt or conviction.

NEWTOWN SQUARE–On Oct. 24 at approximately 4:40 p.m., Newtown police received a criminal mischief incident report that occurred in the parking lot of 3565 Winding Way. According to the report, police spoke with the complainant who stated he discovered his rear pick-up truck window was smashed sometime during the day while parked at Delmont Utilities. The man told police that he arrived at work at 6:30 that morning and when he returned that afternoon to the parking lot, he discovered that the rear middle window was smashed out. The approximate value of the window is $500.

Hunter With Bow and Arrow Trespasses...Again 

On Oct. 20 at approximately 6 p.m., while an officer was at the Garrett Williamson property they observed a hunter wearing camouflage carrying a bow and arrow walking in the woods onto the property. According to the report, the  property is completely fenced and posted to prevent trespassing. The fence was installed due to the numerous problems of people trespassing for hunting purposes and riding ATVs, according to the report. Police notified the man, who had been notified on several occasions before, about trespassing onto the property and that he was not permitted to be on the property for any reason. The man was arrested and charged for trespassing.

iPod Stolen From Car on Bishop Hollow Road 

On Oct. 16 at approximately 7:40 p.m., police responded to the unit block of Bishop Hollow Road for a reported theft from a vehicle. According to the report, the homeowner told police she came out to her car and noticed the door was unlocked and her iPod was missing from her car. The approximate value of the iPod is $250.

Romney/Ryan Signs Stolen From Front Lawn 

On Oct. 15 at approximately 6:45 p.m., police responded to the 3500 block of Goshen Road for a reported theft from a home. According to the report, police spoke with the homeowner who told police someone had stolen all three Romney/Ryan signs sometime overnight.
