Blotter: Used Fryer Oil Stolen, Cars Egged, and More

Man Goes Back To Apartment After Getting Evicted

On June 15 at approximately 10:40 a.m., responded to the an apartment unit in the Woodbrook House Apartments at 3405 West Chester Pike for a report of an unwanted subject. Upon arrival, police spoke with the property owner who told police that there was a man inside a vacant apartment unit in the building. According to the report, the owner told police the man has trespassed before after being evicted from the apartment and was not allowed to return. In addition the owner pointed out holes in the wall that he stated were recent, according to the report. Police arrested the 38-year-old man for charges of criminal trespassing–defiant trespassing/actual communication to and criminal mischief/damage to property with intent.

Cars Egged in Valley View Acres Neighborhood

On June 12 at approximately 7:22 a.m., police responded to the unit block of Pickwick Lane in the Valley View Acres neighborhood for a criminal mischief incident reported. Upon arrival, police spoke with the victim who told police that sometimve overnight someone threw an egg at his vehicle that was parked in the driveway. The homeowner told police that his son came home around 11:30 p.m. that night and did not remember seeing egg on the vehicle then but discovered it the next morning.

Police also responded to the neighbor of the criminal incident reported on Pickwick Lane in the Valley View Acres neighborhood for another report of an egg thrown at a vehicle. The vehicle was parked in front of the home with egg on the vehicle.

Tools Thrown From Contractor's Toolbox on Construction Site

On June 11 at approximately 9:40 a.m., police responded to the construction site off of S. Newtown Street Rd/Rt. 252 between Gradyville and Cornerstone roads for a criminal mischief incident reported. Upon arrival, police met with an employee of Unitech Drilling, who told police that sometime over the weekend someone had broken into the toolbox on his drilling rig and also wrote on the drill rig with a permanent marker. According to the report, the employee stated that the rig was left at the site on Friday, June 8, at approximately 3 p.m. with no damage to it. When the employee arrived at the work site on June 11, he discovered the damage to the tool box and writing on the rig, which had profanity written on it and “This is our turf,” according to the report. According to the report, it appeared that someone broke into his tool box and pulled out all the tools, throwing them about the work site. Police are further investigating this incident.

Used Fryer Oil Stolen From Back of Casey's

On June 7 at approximately 2:10 p.m., police responded to the rear of off of West Chester Pike for a reported theft. Upon arrival, police spoke with an employee and loss prevention manager for Waste Oil Recyclers, who told police that when they arrived on Tuesday, June 5, to collect the waste fryer oil from the waste oil tank in the rear of the restaurant, they discovered that the lock was broken and the oil was gone. Police are further investigating this incident.
