Body Found Ablaze in Upper Providence Park Deemed As Suicide

The manner of death of a burning body found in an Upper Providence park Monday afternoon was ruled a suicide by the Delaware County Medical Examiner.

UPPER PROVIDENCE–The Delaware County Medical Examiner ruled the manner of death of the body found in an Upper Providence park to be a suicide.

Dalyn D. Bristol, 32, of Media, was found on fire in Houtman Park on Lincoln and Jackson streets at about 1:30 p.m. Monday by Media Borough employees who were doing hurricane clean up.

Upper Providence Police Sgt. Michael Langdale said borough employees were cleaning up that area of the park after the storm when they saw a fire.

"They assumed it was a brush fire but when they checked, they saw it was a body burning," Langdale said.
