Electrical System Causes 2-Vehicle Fire

Broomall Fire Co. battled the blaze and stopped it from progressing to a third vehicle or a house, officials say.

No one was injured in a two-vehicle fire in Broomall on Wednesday, according to fire officials.

Broomall Fire Co. responded to the 300 block of First Avenue at about 5:45 a.m. on Wednesday and found two vehicles on fire in the driveway parked one behind the other, according to Broomall Fire Co. Public Information Officer Tony Cavarocchi.

A third vehicle was parked next to the burning vehicles in a neighbor's driveway.

Broomall Firefighters attacked the fire and were able to stop the fire from progressing, however, the third vehicle sustained heat damage in the rear and side quarter panel, according to Cavarocchi.

There was no fire damage to either house and no report of any civilian or firefighter injuries.

The fire is believed to have started in the area of the electrical system of the most involved vehicle, according to Cavarocchi.

The Incident Commander was Chief Carl E. Drake of the Broomall Fire Company.
