Firefighters Battle Car Fire On I-476

and various other fire departments were seen by Patch putting out a car fire at the beginning of the off ramp of the Havertown/Broomall Exit 9 on the southbound lane of I-476 on Thursday at around 8:45 a.m.

It appears that the driver of the car was uninjured as he was being treated by EMS.

Haverford Township Fire Marshal Jim Marino and Broomall's Fire Chief Carl Drake have not returned messages left by Patch.
