Gladwyne Resident Arrested in Cocaine Bust

The Montgomery County DA has linked Heads Up Barber Shop in Wayne with a drug ring.

GLADWYNE–The Montgomery County District Attorney charged 27 individuals—including a Gladwyne resident—Tuesday with drug-related offenses involving cocaine trafficking.

According to a news release from District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman, Alan Kirsch, Jr., was charged in connection with a drug ring allegedly run out of a Tredyffrin barbershop.

Kirsch, 53, faces charges of corrupt organization, possession of cocaine, criminal conspiracy, criminal use of telecommunications facilities and dealing in the proceeds of criminal activities.

Anthony Dennis, 39, was charged in connection with running a drug front out of barbershop Heads Up in Tredyffrin. 

Township police began investigating Dennis in 2008 at his business at 932 Old Gulph Mill Road in Wayne. The investigation, entitled "Operation Heads Up," expanded to include Chester County, Montgomery County and state officials.

In the criminal indictment, officials say Dennis with his brother Michael Dennis distributed large quantities of cocaine to drug dealers throughout the Main Line.
