Lane Closure, Traffic Delays Off of Interstate-476 Cleared

A reported one-vehicle car crash off of the southbound side of I-476 just before the Broomall exit had caused some traffic delays and a lane restriction on April 4 around 10:50 a.m.

BROOMALL–Just before 10:50 a.m. Monday morning, a one-car crash has been reported off of Interstate-476 south just before exit 9 in Marple Township.

Those heading south on I-476 may have seen some traffic delays around the southbound exit as a lane closure was alerted by Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) 511PA traffic department around 10:50 a.m.

As of 11:25 a.m., PennDOT has announced the incident has been cleared from the area and the lane closure in the southbound lanes of I-476 reopened.

According to Pennsylvania State Police-Media Barracks, only one vehicle has been reported and they are currently on scene investigating the crash.

One injury has been reported but police have yet to confirm the details of this report.
