Overturned Vehicle on Interstate-476 Cleared

A reported two-car crash leaving one vehicle on its side March 18 has caused some traffic delays and a lane restriction on I-476 north.

Update 2:15 p.m. 

At approximately 2:15 p.m. on Friday, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) 511PA traffic department has announced the two-car crash, involving one overturned vehicle, has cleared.

Pennsylvania State Police-Media Barracks reported a car crash in the northbound lanes of Interstate-476 in Marple at approximately 12:45 p.m. Friday.

According to state police, the crash involved two vehicles and one car was reported to be overturned on its side on the major highway.

State police were on scene and, at the time, no injuries have been reported, said police. 

PennDOT reported the exact location of the accident occurred in the northbound lanes of I-476, two miles south of exit 13 or US Route 30 (Radnor) exit.

As of 12:56 p.m., PennDOT reported there was a lane restriction and traffic was moving at approximately 35-40 mph between exit 9 and Route 3 in Marple Township and Radnor's exit 13 . 

According to police, only one lane was getting by near the accident.

Heavy traffic delays were expected to the area, said PennDOT's 511PA traffic department.
