Man Steals CDs from Starbucks, Police Say

Also, jewelry was stolen from a residence, police say.

The following information was supplied by Newtown Township Police. Any arrests or charges mentioned do not indicate guilt or conviction. 

 

Retail Theft—Starbucks on 3500 block of West Chester Pike at about 1:55 p.m. on March 7. Store employees told police that a man stole eight CDs from the store, according to the report. A black man in his mid-50s, wearing a dark sweatshirt with white lettering and carrying a green bag, was talking with staff and holding a blue plaid shirt in his hand while standing in front of the register, according to the report. While the man talked he rolled the shirt in his hand and walked away and immediately after the missing CDs were noticed, according to the report. The man was last seen walking towards the shopping center. The four Bruno Mars and four Josh Groban CDs, valued at $104, were taken from a case by the register, according to the report.

Burglar—3600 block of Wyola Drive in Newtown Squre between 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on March 4. When the resident returned home she discovered the rear sliding doors were forced open and the door frame broken, according to the report. In the bedroom, she discovered all her personal items and jewelry boxes were rummaged through and scattered throughout her bedroom and all of her jewelry was missing, according to the report. However, all of the electronic items were passed over, according to the report.
