Marple Police Accept Citizens Police Academy Applications

Discuss topics such as patrol procedures, criminal investigations and community policing.

The Marple Police Department is currently accepting applications for its Citizens Police Academy.

The Citizens Police Academy will discuss topics like the legal system, patrol procedures, criminal investigations, communications, and community policing.

Classes will run for nine weeks, beginning Sept. 3, on Tuesday evenings for two hours.

The program is available to anyone over 21 years of age but class size will be limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Priority will be given to residents, business owners, or members of civic organizations in Marple Township.

A criminal records check will be required for anyone interested in participating.

Applications are available at, http://marplepolice.com, or at the Police Department at 225 South Sproul Road in Broomall.
