Marshall's Employee Shorts Store $300, Police Say

A Marshall's employee was arrested and charged in connection with making a fraudulent transaction at the store, police say.

A Marshall's employee was arrested and charged in connection with making a fraudulent transaction at the store, according to Marple Township Police. 

A Marshall's Loss Prevention Officer told police the 23-old-year employee of the store at 400 S. State Rd in Springfield made the transaction on Dec. 9, according to police.

A store register had a $300 shortage, which the store investigated and discovered the Philadelphia woman had conducted a fraudulent gift card transaction and then placed the gift card in her pocket, according to police.

Video footage was provided to police of this transaction and the woman was seen on the video placing the card in her pocket, according to police.

The store management confronted the woman and she admitted to the transaction but had her own reason for the offense, according to police. 

She was arrested, processed and released.
