What do you like about your job?
Basically, the people and it’s always something different. Not sitting behind a desk is a good thing.
What do you dislike about your job?
The hours and seeing the worst in people. Also, we’re usually there if there’s a problem and we may or may not be able to resolve it right then.
What inspired you to become a police officer?
To help people. My family is typically in the fire service but I wanted to be a police officer. We’re all in a volunteer service in some way or other. From when I was a kid I wanted to be a police officer but over the years the reasons changed.
What do you like about the Marple Newtown area?
Good people overall.
What do you want the general public to know about the Marple Police Departmet?
We’re there to help, as much as they may be angry with us at the time. We don’t typically do anything to hurt someone. We’re just doing our job.
