Middle School Principal Warns Parents of Possible Child Predator on Facebook

An email was sent out by Paxon Hollow Middle School Principal Steve Subers about a potential Facebook predator.

BROOMALL–An email was recently sent out by Principal Steve Subers about a possible child predator on Facebook who is already listed as a "friend" on several middle school students' profiles.

The email was sent out via Edline–a Learning Community Management System that many schools use for school and class organization online–to parents warning them of the possible predator.

In the email, Subers states he received information from the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) of Delaware County's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force about the possible predator on Facebook.

The possible predator goes by the name of "Dan Speers" on Facebook, according to the CID. The school is urging parents to check their child’s friends list on Facebook.
