Motor Vehicle Crash on I-476 South Cleared

A motor vehicle accident occurred at 8:43 a.m. by the Broomall exit off of I-476 southbound on May 31.

BROOMALL–A motor vehicle accident that had been reported on I-476 south of the southbound Broomall exit (exit 9) on Tuesday morning has been cleared, as of 9:25 a.m. by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) 511PA traffic department.

Pennsylvania State Police-Media Barracks responded to a vehicle crash in the southbound  lanes of Interstate-476 in Marple at approximately 8:45 a.m.Tuesday.

According to police, the call of a vehicle crash was called in at 8:43 a.m. at the 6.8-mile marker off of I-476 south.

Police were unable to confirm if the crash involved a motorcycle or if any injuries were reported.

According to the PennDOT 511PA traffic department, there was a lane restriction and heavy traffic delays were expected during the time of the crash.
