Newtown Police: 980 Calls in October; 2 Police Cars Up For Sale

Read below for the Newtown Township Police Department's October police log and the sale of two police vehicles.

NEWTOWN SQUARE–Newtown Township Police Lt. Mike Savitski presented October's police log before the Newtown Township Board of Supervisors and the public at a supervisors meeting on Nov. 26.

In addition to the police log, another update regarding the police department included the authorization to advertise the sale of two police vehicles.

A 2004 Ford Crown Victoria four-door cruiser is up for sale as well as a 2004 Ford Expedition SUV Police Command vehicle. In July, a 2004 Ford Crown Victoria was sold for $1,459 to a Pottstown man and a 2006 Chevrolet Impala Sedan was sold to a New Kensington man for $8,807.25.

  • 11 – Lockouts From Vehicles or Buildings
  • 10 – Property Checks at Parks
  • 9 – Building Checks at Residences
  • 9 – Disabled Vehicles
  • 6 – Domestic Disturbances
  • 6 – Motor Vehicle Accidents Involving Deer Struck
  • 3 – Thefts of $200 and over From Buildings
  • 2 – Daytime Burglaries at Non-Residences (1 Forced/1 Unforced)
  • 2 – Attempted Burglaries at Residences
