Newtown Square Resident Involved in Sex Tape Case Formally Arraigned

Christopher Thomas Scott, of Newtown Square, waived his formal arraignment appearance in court and was formally charged on not guilty pleas Dec. 15.

MEDIA–The 20-year-old was formally arraigned on Thursday, Dec. 15, at the Court of Common Pleas in Media.

Originally seen by Judge Leon Hunter III in District Court , Christopher Thomas Scott's case was kicked up to the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas and assigned to Judge James F. Nilon Jr.

In lieu of appearing for his formal arraignment, Scott's attorney Mark Phillip Much opted to appear on his behalf. The arraigment formally charges Scott on not guilty pleas, said a court adminstrator.

Scott, upset over the breakup with the former girlfriend, acknowledged posting the video during an investigative search of his home on Aronimink Drive, said police. The ex-girlfriend later told police she was fired from her former employer, who discovered the sex tape online.

The case is currently under District Attorney George Michael Green's review and is currently awaiting a pre-trial conference date.
