No Injuries Reported in Broomall Deck Fire

No injuries were reported during a house fire on Erika Lane on July 26.

BROOMALL– was dispatched at approximately 12:59 a.m. on July 26 to the unit block of Erika Lane for a home fire. first responded to the scene and reported the fire in the rear of the house on the deck with extension up the siding, according to Broomall Fire Public Information Officer Tony Cavarocchi.  

Broomall firefighters arrived and stretched a hand line to the rear of the residence and extinguished the fire, said Cavarocchi in an email. According to Cavarocchi, the fire was contained to the outside rear deck and rear siding, crews checked the interior of the home for fire extension and used fans to ventilate the smoke with in the home.  

The fire is still under investigation by the police deprtment. Other responding fire companies included , Manoa Fire Co, Garrettford-Drexel Hill Fire Co. Rapid Intervention Team, and . No injuries were reported. Firefighters were on scene for approximately an hour.
