No One Injured in Christmas Eve Fire, Officials Say

The cause of the Christmas Eve house fire is still under investigation, fire officials say.

No one was injured in a house fire on Christmas Eve in Broomall, fire officials said. 

At about 9:15 p.m. on Dec. 24, Broomall Fire Co. and Marple Township Police found heavy fire showing from the first floor of a house on the unit block of Franklin Getz Drive, according to Broomall Fire Co. Public Information Officer Tony Cavarocchi.

Firefighters from Broomall, Newtown Square, Manoa and Drexel Hill responded to extinguish the fire and were assisted by Fire Police and the American Red Cross.

The one person who was inside the home was able to escape and was transported by Marple EMS to a local hospital for evaluation, according to Cavarocchi.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
