No One Injured in Windsor Circle House Fire

Crews found heavy smoke coming from the back of the house when they arrived.

No one was injured in a house fire Wednesday night but the house sustained damaged, according to fire officials.

Broomall Fire Co. responded to the one-story residence on the 2200 block of Windsor Circle in Broomall at about 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

The fire was believed to have started in the area of a powder room ceiling fan, according to Broomall Fire Co. Public Information Officer Tony Cavarocchi.

When crews arrived, a large volume of smoke was coming from the rear of the house with fire in an attic space over a family room, according to Cavarocchi.

The homeowners told fire crews when they arrived that there was no one inside and that all family members were safe and out of the house, according to Cavarocchi.

Broomall firefighters attacked the fire in the attic space and held it to that area, according to Cavarocchi, the family room (below the attic space) and areas of the main house sustained smoke and water damage.

Along with Broomall Fire Co., Rose Tree and Springfield fire companies responded to the scene with Marple Township Ambulance Corps and Broomall Fire Police Officer Al Bianchi.

The incident commander was Chief Carl E. Drake of Broomall Fire Co.
