The aftermath of Hurricane Sandy has caused even major roadways to close or post detours due to fallen trees or wires. The following list of Delaware County road closures is a list of state roads that have been posted by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT).

RADNOR TOWNSHIP
- Route 320 near Conestoga Road in Radnor Township is closed in both directions due to a downed utility line (no detour in place).
- Bryn Mawr Avenue between Mill Road and Barbara Lane in Radnor Township is closed in both directions due to a downed utility line. (no detour in place).
MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP
- Barren Road/Bishop Hollow Road between Van Leer Avenue and Painter Road in Middletown Township is closed in both directions due to a downed utility line (no detour in place). It is anticipated to have the road open by the end of Thursday.
- Howarth Road between Ahrens and the creek
- Valley between Hermitage and Darlington
EDGMONT TOWNSHIP
- Sweetwater Road/Westown Road/Glen Mills Road/Dilworthtown Road between Creek Road and Valley Road in Thornbury and Edgmont townships is closed in both directions due to a downed utility line (no detour in place).
THORNBURY TOWNSHIP
- Creek Road between Locksley Road and College Hill Drive/Tanguy Road/Creek Road in Thornbury Township is closed in both directions due to a downed utility line (no detour in place).
- Sweetwater Road/Westown Road/Glen Mills Road/Dilworthtown Road between Creek Road and Valley Road in Thornbury and Edgmont townships is closed in both directions due to a downed utility line (no detour in place).
ASTON TOWNSHIP
- Lenni Road between Birney Highway/Llewelyn Road and New Road in Aston Township is closed in both directions due to a downed utility line.
