Philly Man Charged in Massey's Killing

A Philadelphia man has been arrested and charged with killing Christian Massey, a Marple Newtown High School graduate, reports say.

Philadelphia police have arrested and charged a man in the slaying of a Marple Newtown High School graduate, who was shot for his Beats headphones, reports say. 

Arkel Garcia, 19, of Philadelphia, was arrested and charged Monday with murder in connection with killing Christian Massey, according to 6abc.com.

Garcia allegedly shot Massey, 21, in the chest when he refused to hand over his headphones in the Overbrook section of Philadelphia on Nov. 30, according to the Delaware County Daily Times, Garcia then fled without the headphones. 

Gracia was arrested on the day of Massey's funeral. 

Massey, who was a special needs student, played football, lacrosse and basketball at Marple Newtown High School and also participated in the Special Olympics. 

He was 6-foot 2-inches tall, 300-pounds and dubbed the "gentle giant" at the school, according to philly.com
